About Alex
I’m a farrier based in Gloucestershire and I qualified in May 2014 obtaining my Diploma of the worshipful company of farriers.
I trained with my father David Hall, who has worked and lived in Gloucestershire all his life. I regularly attend shoeing competitions, won many awards from shoeing competitions to winning best shod armed forces team at the Royal Windsor horse show in 2019 being the first none military farrier to win. I also regularly attend cpd (continued professional development) lectures and days to help continue my understanding of new products and different methods for shoeing different horses.
I work closely with vets, physios and most importantly the owners/riders. I also enjoy riding myself, in many different disciplines, which helps also better my understanding relating to the owners/riders.
I carry out all aspects of Farriery and have many references I can offer from leisure riders, all the way to professionals. I do travel, so please get in touch.
I also enjoy knife making, from Farriery knives, to chef knives and some wood work too. Please get in contact for more information.
